WARDROBE ESSENTIALS FOR WOMEN OVER 50

Hi girls, how are you? today I had an in-person rotation at the clinic and I was really sleepy. So, I told the doctor to put on some music and the doctor just laughed. This I am going to tell you is something funny and at the same time wtf, the thing is that I told the doctor to play music and the doctor told me: over demanding, and I told him that if not the time passes slowly and the doctor told me: get to do something then, so that the time passes quickly, and I was like this is a joke? seriously it was too weird, but I love the sarcasm of the doctor.

But well, let's talk about nice things like today's post. I'm too inspired and decided to share with you some outfit ideas and essentials that you should have in your wardrobe.

A garment that you will find a lot in these outfits is the white pants, it's that seriously a white pants combines with any garment. This garment can be used in summer and winter, because in summer you can combine it with simple polo shirts and in winter you can combine it with coats. So, check out these great ideas.

  1. The clothes are lovely! Do you have links to where you bought them?

  2. I was just in Paris. No one is wearing heels. Also, when will the pigeon-toe & big bag trend go away? Clothes are cute.

    1. You would only be in tourist places where they wear a lot of low-heeled shoes, sandals, etc. Paris is Paris and if you go to sophisticated places you will see how well they dress and often wear high-heeled shoes

    2. Actually, the sneakers trend has replaced heels even in non touristy areas of Paris. Paris is Paris and there will always be versatility, but none of the above pictures are taken in “sophisticated” locations and even heels in sophisticated Parisian areas are rare. The parisians still have their effortless chic look and heels are not a part of that.

  3. Women over 50 in thorn jeans, tiny shorts and always in very high heels? Must be in red light district in Amsterdam.

    2. How many women do you know who are so thin when thery reach 50+?
It is totally inrealistic that older women walk on such high heels and being so very skinny, unless they are models or anorexics. Well, most likely, both.

  4. Yes any links to where you can buy - otherwise still love the ideas

    1. Depends on your legs and mine are great!!!

    2. I agree! Nothing wrong with my legs. If there’s one thing don’t like is people telling me what I should wear.

  8. This looks for like "For women over 65, maybe 70" They are all exceptionally gorgeous with beautiful bodies. They should be proud, but that ain't "just over 50".

  9. Good job Vale! Keep it going…I absolutely love that 50 year old women don’t dress like in the old days. I’m 50 but honestly feel 38♥️

  10. Beautiful, classy, elegant poised size zero to size 2 Dior women. They also represent 0 to 2 % of the way real women and can afford to look over 50. Why not spend time addressing elegance for real women. The Dior belt would cost more than what most women in the US earn in a week. Likewise the Hermes scarf and Abutti white shirt are out of character for average women.

  11. The AVERAGE woman in the US is a size 16. THE AVERAGE SIZE WORLDWIDE IS 12 US sizing. A size 12-16 woman wearing most of these clothes would look like the Hindenburg dirigible. It's depressing to think that not only are metabolism, gravity and hormones our enemies at this age, but also the media and how the media presents what is socially acceptable continues to be a source of stress and self loathing. What the fashion industry and the media consider to be fashionable for over 50 women is only for those who are genetically stick thin, with lots of contour work and lots of plastic work. The rest of us live in the back pages of the JC Penney catalogue. Invisible. The rest of us after 45 evolve to become part of the woodwork of US society . I'm 68, fit, and in good health. But I do not have a million dollars to spend on annual plastic surgery like ALL the Kardashians. And even if I did I am a size 16. I will never look like any of the women wearing any of these clothes. Ever. Why not present a nice article featuring the varieties of styles for elegant older women looking fashionable in different sizes, colors, shapes, and styles.

    2. Stop casting a broad brush for women over 50. Not all of us are overweight or thin due to plastic surgery. I’m 57 and naturally weigh 129 lbs without dieting. If the clothing in this particular article don’t aren’t suitable for you and your body, then kindly move on. But don’t make vast assumptions that there aren’t women over 50 for whom these fashions are appropriate and realistic.

    3. I am not sure the person is "casting a broad brush" except to make the point about the average size of North American women - and she's correct, as supported by hundreds of studies. Her points regarding media and the fashion industry are of serious concern. Her point regarding most women's incomes is also valid. Of course your point is valid - but your natural attributes are not "the norm" ( and you've yet to pass through the last stage of hormonal change for most women, usually occurring in late 50's to mid 60s). Writing "Stop" is a treating choice given you also needed and used your right to freedom of expression....something to consider in future responses.

  12. Not a fan of white pants. All of these women are quite thin. Could you please post realistic women.

  13. Definitely agree, should show real women who've never had any work done, can't afford designer labels.

  16. I think the general ideas of - have some fun straight leg or ankle length jeans, structured jackets, good tennis shoes, nice accessories to dress up your look , a good white shirt are the idea here and work for all body types. The pics that are me 🤔 were the short shorts, and I think the T shirt under the red jacket may say MILF, !? It’s either that or MILK across the chest. Either way, tacky for any adult to wear.

  17. I’m 63, a FT RN and I would wear these clothes in a heartbeat. I actually already have some of these pieces in my closet. I don’t think the idea is “you must wear this, you must look like this,” but it should inspire you to get fabulous ideas and then adjust them to your body type. I am 5’4 and 120# but I used to be heavier. I never sacrificed style for comfort.

  18. Hi ladies! I’m 71, 5’8” and about 155 lbs. yes these models are ultra thin, but my take away is how the clothes are paired up. Colors, up turned collars, different heel and big hand bags.
Sometimes you only need one great belt and a couple of scarves to dress up an outfit. And while we will never be stick thin, we can still have a certain look or style.
My idle is Dyan Cannon!! She’s so hot for her age and gets away with the way she presents her sexy outfits. It’s an attitude. And it’s not about low cut tops- these models don’t display that!
My skin is saggy but I’m working on it with Pilates and beginning to see a change.
You all be your beautiful selves and embrace your health. xoxo

  19. Yes, i feel like these are all women from Real Housewive's of _______ you pick the city. All super skinny, wearing ridiculously high pointy heels! I just turned 60, takes a lot to stay "thinner" but i wear boyfriend jeans, sneakers, tees, and think i look great. Oh and they are mostly from Old Navy, Gap, Free People not some designer website i cant afford and dont really want to. But i think simple, classic pieces make you look put together, NOT a label and just add a big dolup of confidence and you will look spectacular!
