Good evening dear readers, how are you? I decided to write this post because I used to take sewing classes, but I’ve put them on hold for now since I obviously don’t have much time. Between work, college, research, and everything else, it’s been hard for me to keep going, but the truth is that during those months I was taking classes, I learned how to make some really beautiful clothes. What I liked best was making some dresses for myself, because, as you know, they’re one of my favorite types of clothing in the world. Seriously, there’s nothing cuter than wearing something you made yourself, it feels special and different.
Making your own dress might sound a little difficult at first, but it doesn’t have to be impossible. The important thing is to start with a simple pattern, a fabric that’s easy to work with, and to be patient, because in sewing, it’s all about practice. Sometimes you make a mistake, unpick the stitches, sew it again, and only then does it turn out nice, but that’s also part of the process. Plus, when you make your own clothes, you can choose the color, the length, the type of fabric, and tailor it to your body and I think that’s the best part of all. There’s nothing like having a garment that really fits the way you want it to.

I think it’s a really cute idea if you want to get started in the world of sewing or if you simply want to try something new and creative. You don’t need to be an expert from day one, you just need enthusiasm, patience, and to get over your fear of the sewing machine a little bit.
